The Biddulph Ramblers

Working for Walkers

From the 9th to the 16th June, 53 members from Biddulph and Stoke Newcastle, Ramblers travelled to North Devon

for a weeks walking hoilday. We were based at the excellent Carlton Hotel in Ilfracombe. Amazingly despite the dire weather

all around, we were lucky, as the heavy rain fell at night. A short drizzly spell on Tuesday morning and a longer downpour

Friday afternoon was the extent of the rain on walking days, for the rest it remained cloudy, dry, breezy with some spells of sunshine

As is usual 3 seperate walks were on offer each walking day in this lovely coastal area, with beautiful views. We were lucky to see

seals again on the Saturday walk.

On the driver, Mike`s day off, many of the group headed over to Lundy Island for a very enjoyable trip on the Ferry.
