Biddulph Ramblers Group Dog Walks
On our walks, we regret no dogs please UNLESS the walk is described as DOG FRIENDLY.
Dog-friendly walks are open to all, with or without a dog. Non-members can join up to 3 walks before committing to join the Ramblers. Dogs must be kept under appropriate control the whole time and it is group policy that dogs must be kept on a standard lead (no longer than two metres) at all times unless permission to the contrary is given by the walk leader. Walkers who bring dogs on walks are solely responsible for any problems arising from their pets' presence on the walk. Walk leaders should plan dog walks that do not bring walkers/dogs into contact with agricultural livestock. They should plan walks that either have no stiles or only stiles they consider to be dog-friendly.
Dog-friendly walks can be put on to the walks programme any day of the week, though any such walk on a Wednesday or Sunday will be regarded as an extra walk to the programme, i.e. in addition to the usual Wednesday or Sunday walk on which dogs are not allowed.
We have had some dog walks recently but without anyone coming forward to administer a suitable programme it is not sustainable .
