The Biddulph Ramblers

Working for Walkers

22 members led by Eddie Dawson started the walk of just over 5 miles from Rushton Spencer.

It was cloudy but very warm and muggy today.

The route would take us along the Dane Valley Way and the Gritstone Way to Hollinhall. We took a

drinks break above the River Dane.

Secateurs came in handy, as the vegetation had started to overwhhelm the paths and stiles, since

the walk had been reconnoitred. we passed through fields of long grass but some had been cut for hay

or sileage.

This was a pretty walk, and we made our way back to the cars and refreshment at The Knot.
