Around 15 people took part in this 6 mile walk led by Mel Griffiths. We lost some and gained some along the way, for various reasons.
Conditions were very misty, and quite wet underfoot.
The climb from Ilam Park up towards Musden Wood (pictured below) was unfortunately too much for one of the group, who had to turn back, accompanied by three others. An ambulance was actually called, and various tests were carried out both on the hillside and in the ambulance at Ilam Hall and later on in hospital. Thankfully the patient has fully recovered. An incident report form was completed and submitted to the Ramblers, as required in such a situation.
We saw snowdrops in several locations.
